Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas! We are very blessed to have Jon home and we had a very nice Christmas. Madison got alot of very nice presents and had a blast opening her gifts. We also had the chance to see Aunt Angela & Uncle Joe, who drove from Utah to see Maddie. She has a great time with them, too! We're on our way out the door to L.A. so I'll write more when we get back.

Madison's Christmas Pictures....How Cute!!!!

Mischief Maddie!

It had been raining for a few days so we had to find ways to keep Maddie happy and entertained since she wasn't able to go play outside(her favorite place to be). In the above picture, I caught her trying to pull out all the DVDs. As you can see, we have quite a bit of empty shelves. She also likes to climb them, too! We can't get mad at such an adorable face!!!!
Here's Maddie and daddy looking serious at the camera and as soon as the picture was over, she was cracking up. She's really goofy and giggly but she sure can give a mean look.

Madison decided to climb grandma's couch to look at the rain and the bus. She is very smiley because she know's that she is not suppose to be up there. Do you see what I mean about getting mad at such an adorable face?

Madison & Santa

On Friday night, Maddie paid a visit to Santa. We thought she would be terrified but we should've known better. As I was walking her towards Santa, he said her name and won her over right there and then. Santa told Jon that he was going to keep Maddie because she is such a "Good Girl". She got a color book, crayons and a stocking filled with a jump rope and a few other toys. Visiting Santa was the highlight of our weekend since Madison enjoyed seeing him so much. Other than that, we went out to dinner Friday and Saturday and Madison got to have her all-time favorite: Pizzi (pizza).

Cookie Time

Since it was a rainy day, we decided to bake cookies.
Here's Madison rolling the dough. Surprisingly, she didn't make too much of a mess.

She chose a ginger bread man for her first cookie.

Here's a cute picture of our baby after she worked so hard. I thought she'd be more mischief but she really enjoys helping Jon and I do things. She behaved quite well and had a lot of fun!!!

Jon is very proud of his cookies. He and Maddie are much better bakers than I am.

Here are Maddie's cookies that she sprinkled all by herself with a little help from Mommy. She was a little sneaky and ate 1 cookie from the first batch. She was happy and didn't bother to touch anymore after that. Once the cookies were done, she said: "How cute!!!" She was very proud of her cookies. Maddie did an excellent job!

Chatter Box!!!

As you all know, Madison LOVES to talk on the phone. She will have an entire conversation with anyone. You can understand alot of what she is saying and the rest is baby talk. She'll talk and talk then laugh hysterically. It's so fun to watch her on the phone. She just had her bath and is talking to her Nana, Tia Kathy and uncle Michael telling them all about her cookies. She also likes to walk around the house while talking on the phone. She's such a character and a cutie!
I just took the phone away and that's why she has this adorable sad look on her face. Life is tough for Maddie when you take the phone away. All this talking has definitely increased her vocabulary/verbal skills. Jon and I can only imagine what the teenage years are going to be like. Ahhhhhhh!!!!

Here's a few pictures of Madison we took over the weekend. She baked some cookies a few days ago and did a great job. We went to the church party on Saturday and watched "The Story of Bethlehem" that was performed by the primary kids. It was very nice and Maddie had fun and was being a social butterfly. Nothing else is new except that Madison is trying to climb inside her crib. She is like a monkey and climbs EVERYTHING!!! When we catch her in the act, she'll give us this huge smile and wave with excitement. We have to watch her like a hawk!

It's Christmas Time

This past weekend, we decorated the Christmas tree and put lights on the house. Madison had a blast! She was very gentle with the ornaments as she picked them out. But once she got to the tree, she scoped out where she wanted to put the ornaments, took a few steps back and then would throw the ornaments onto the tree. If the ornament would land on a branch without falling she yelled out: good girl and clapped her hands. If it fell, she picked another one and would start the throwing process again. So far, she has done well with the tree and is infatuated with the lights. The last picture is Maddie looking up at the "airpane" a.k.a airplane. She enjoys looking at the planes, hearing the choo-choo and looking at the busses from our front door. Jon and I took her on a short bus ride yesterday and she cried her eyes out when we got off. Since last month, Madison has been telling Jon and I when she has a wet or messy diaper or if she's in the process of having one. We're going to start potting training her and hopefully she will tell us when she has to go since she's pretty good at telling us now. She's a very smart and advanced little girl for being just 16 months. She is growing up too fast for us and it makes me sad but yet we're so PROUD of her. Nothing else is new except Madison is getting over her cold and has not needed an asthma treatment which is great for her. But Jon woke up with a cold this morning so Maddie and I are going to nurse him back to good health.

Bath Time With Daddy!!

Here's a video of our little fish. This is especially for Auntie Maxine because she LOVES to hear Madison laugh hysterically and she recently asked us to post a video of her giggling. She loves to be in the water and it's so hard to get her out without having a fit. She spent the entire summer in the pool and learned to swim by herself before she was one. I was extremely terrified of her being in the water since I don't know how to swim but luckily we have alot of family members to take her in the water.
